Founder’s Day Celebration – Nov 14 @ 1pm

Just a little reminder about our upcoming celebration of the founding of Alpha Sigma Alpha 109 years ago! Please join us for lunch on Sunday, November 14 at 1pm at Granite City in Zona Rosa. (Due to the size of our group, please bring CASH to pay for your lunch. Your server thanks you. :-) Pin attire is requested (business casual, no jeans, pin is optional but fun to wear!).

Here’s what you can do to prepare for our Founders’ Day Event:

1) Attend! Don’t worry if you haven’t been to a meeting before (or it’s been awhile). We welcome all ASA sisters! This is a great time to reconnect with your sorority. Please join us for a great time!!

2) Don’t forget to bring a little extra cash to participate in our 50/50 Raffle. Last year, we gave away $250!!! You definitely want to get in on the action! All proceeds benefit the ASA Foundation.

3) Please bring items to help fill our Spring Break Basket! In case you haven’t heard, the Greater KC Alumnae Chapter is providing a basket at District Day to support the Foundation Raffle. Our basket’s theme is “Spring Break”. We are collecting items that any spring break student would want! Suggested items include sunscreen, sunglasses, quick-read novels, beach towels, etc. (Already donated are 4 x beach bags, 2 pairs of flip flops, 4 x water bottles.) We want to have a basket with items complete for four students. If you have purchased items from the list, let me know and I communicate that to everyone. If you would rather donate money so that we can buy the items, that would be great, too. Thank you for supporting the alumnae chapter and the ASA Foundation!

4) RSVP! Please RSVP by Monday, November 8 to Pam Engelken at pengelken@everestkc.net or 913-469-6583. [Directions: Take I-29 to the Barry Road Exit. Go West on NW Barry Road, but quickly get into the right lane to turn onto Prairie View Road. Turn right onto Prairie View Road. This is the entrance into Zona Rosa. Granite City will be in the row of restaurants on the right-hand (East) side.]

I’m looking forward to seeing you on November 14!
