District Day Foundation Basket Raffle

Your Greater KC Alumnae Chapter has chosen a “Spring  Break” themed basket as our donation to the District Day Foundation Raffle.  We are asking our alumnae to donate  new items that any spring breaker would love to have!  We already  have two pairs of flip flops donated, but are need of items like beach towels,  sunglasses, beach bags, quick-read novels, sunscreen, etc.   With these types of items on sale now, it’s the perfect time to stock our  basket.  We will be collecting these items at all of our events.

We are also accepting donated baskets of all types from individuals. Perhaps you have your own business or maybe you just want to share the joys of an all-chocolate basket! Whatever your basket’s theme, we greatly appreciate your donation to the raffle.  (We are requesting that all donated baskets be valued at least $25).  ALL proceeds benefit the ASA Foundation.

Crown of Excellence Celebration!

Just a couple of weeks ago, Alpha Sigma Alpha had their 2010 National Convention and Leadership Conference in Indianapolis. It was an amazing event! Your Greater Kansas City Alumnae Chapter was well represented with several area women attending. But THE BEST part of the Convention was that our chapter received the Alumnae Crown of Excellence Award!! This is the highest award that an alumnae chapter can receive. How amazing!! To commemorate this achievement, we are hosting a celebration at the home of Johanna Gardner (12721 Richards, Overland Park, KS, 66213) on Saturday, July 24th at 6:30pm. When you arrive at Johanna’s, please make your way to the back patio because that’s where the party will be happening!!

RSVPs are needed by Thursday, July 22nd.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, pop, cake, and all the trimmings will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share (salad, fruit, veggies, etc.,). Alcoholic beverages will not be provided, but please feel free to bring your own. :-)

We really hope that all of you can attend this celebration. We are going to have a GREAT time!! If you’ve never attended an alumnae event before, this is the perfect time to come! See why the Greater Kansas City Alumnae Chapter is THE BEST alumnae chapter!

ALAM,
Heather Riley
President, Greater Kansas City Alumnae Chapter
